Today is the Birthday of the finest music composer India has ever produced, Mr. A R Rahman. Here’s my Bday wishes to the musical prodigy… Happy Birthday Rahman Sir!!! I salute thee!!
A R Rahman is one of the very few people that i started admiring from my childhood days. I started listening to music when Roja was released and i grew up listening to His music. There are very few people i have admired as a kid. Rahman, Sachin, Mohanlal etc… With every Rahman audio release, my admiration for him grew and with every interview of him, my respect for him went up. For someone who has scaled up to all heights, he is extremely humble and has his head firm on his shoulders.
I have always wanted to write about Rahman. But then when i think about writing , i run outta words. From Roja to Ghajini he has churned out master piece followed by master piece effortlessly. The fact that he’s the only Music director to have won four national awards and 18 Filmfare awards speaks volumes about his domination in the Indian music Industry over the last 15 years.
Rahman is solely responsible for bringing a new sound into film music. In the last 15 years of my life, i have never spent a day without listening to a Rahman song. He has songs for all seasons and all reasons. His music is my companion when i am all by myself. I admire him not just for his music, but also for the human being that he is. And in new year, i am sure he will scale new heights and help a lotta pour souls out there with his music as well as his A R Rahman Foundations.
